Santa Lucia Preserve Earns Fire Risk Reduction Community Designation

The Santa Lucia Community Services District has been designated a Fire Risk Reduction Community by the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection — a state recognition awarded to communities that meet defined standards for wildfire preparedness, including fuel reduction, defensible space, and emergency planning.

This is the CSD's second consecutive FRRCL designation, reflecting the ongoing work of the Fire & Fuels Management program, including roadside fuelbreak maintenance, in-house vegetation mastication, and coordination with regional fire agencies.
